mt7996/mt7992 are single-wiphy, multi-band devices. The driver assigns
each band its own MAC address from a per-band EEPROM entry, or derives
it from the primary band's address when that entry is empty, however
only the primary band's is published as perm_addr. The per-band
addresses are not exposed to cfg80211, so consumers usually fall back
to deriving one from perm_addr.
Store each band's address in wiphy->addresses[], indexed by radio, so
cfg80211 exposes the address the hardware actually uses for that radio.
addresses[0] is the primary band and matches perm_addr, as cfg80211
requires.

mt7996_mcu_get_eeprom() derives the destination of the EFUSE/EXT block
copy from the address reported by the MCU response (event->addr, a
device-controlled __le32) and clamps only the copy length, never the
destination offset into dev->mt76.eeprom.data. A malicious or
malfunctioning device can report an arbitrary address and drive an
out-of-bounds write of up to MT7996_EXT_EEPROM_BLOCK_SIZE bytes past
eeprom.data.
Reject a response whose address would place the copy outside eeprom.data
before deriving the destination pointer. Devices that echo the requested
in-bounds offset are unaffected.

mt7996/mt7992 hand the firmware a HW MAC-TXP for AddBA req action frames
(MT_TXD7_MAC_TXD, set in mt7996_mac_write_txwi_80211()), but are otherwise
FW-TXP devices. On tx free mt76_connac_txp_skb_unmap() therefore decodes the
per-frame txp as a struct mt76_connac_fw_txp. For a MAC-TXP the fw_txp.nbuf
byte aliases the AddBA TID word (MT_TXP1_TID_ADDBA), which is always zero, so
the unmap loop runs zero times and the skb DMA mapping in buf[1] is never
unmapped. buf[1].skip_unmap is set unconditionally, so the generic DMA-ring
cleanup skips it as well.
Each AddBA req therefore leaks one TX DMA mapping, roughly one per
(re)association. With WED enabled these mappings are bounced through the WED
swiotlb pool, so under continuous client reconnect churn the pool is exhausted
after ~1-2 days, after which DMA mapping fails for WED, the WiFi MCU and other
on-SoC consumers.
Keep the deferred (token release) unmap that the design relies on, and add an
mt7996-specific txp unmap that inspects MT_TXD7_MAC_TXD and unmaps buf[1] from
the MAC-TXP layout for those frames, delegating to mt76_connac_txp_skb_unmap()
otherwise.

The MLO link-reconfiguration rework moved the per-phy num_sta
decrement inside a link_valid guard. link_valid is only set for
MLO links, but num_sta is incremented for every station link,
including the non-MLO deflink. Non-MLO stations bump num_sta
on association and never drop it on removal.
A non-zero num_sta forces connected-mode off-channel scanning which
prevents the directed probe exchange needed to find hidden APs.
Decrement phy->num_sta on the actual link teardown, pairing it with

0. When the radio also runs AP VAPs the station's omac is non-zero

egress from the wrong BSS and the 4-way handshake times out even

Add hardware airtime fairness (ATF) support for mt7996, using the MAC's
weighted DWRR scheduler (VoW) to balance TX airtime between stations, in
the same way as the mt7915 implementation.
This supplements mac80211's software airtime fairness rather than
replacing it: software ATF keeps scheduling the host TX queues, while the
hardware scheduler enforces fairness on the offloaded path where the host
has no airtime accounting, such as when WED is active.
A station's TX airtime weight is taken from mac80211 through the
sta_set_airtime_weight op and applied to the hardware scheduler directly;
the per-AC DWRR quantum levels and the station's BSS group index are
derived on the fly, mapping the weight logarithmically onto the global
hardware quantum table. ATF and WATF are enabled by default and can be
toggled together at runtime through the "vow_atf" debugfs file.

mt76_tx_status_skb_add() zeroes the mt76_tx_cb struct stored at
info->status.status_driver_data via memset(). Since info->control and
info->status are members of the same union in ieee80211_tx_info,
this overwrites info->control.flags.
In mt7996_tx_prepare_skb(), mt76_tx_status_skb_add() is called before
mt7996_mac_write_txwi(), which re-reads info->control.flags to extract
IEEE80211_TX_CTRL_MLO_LINK. Because the field has been zeroed, the
link_id always resolves to 0 for frames using global_wcid, leading to
incorrect TXWI configuration.
Fix this by passing link_id as an explicit parameter to

already extracted from info->control.flags before the destructive

With HW TX encap offload enabled, the mt76 firmware builds the 802.11
header for the 802.3 frame using the per-WCID context. For a STATION
vif the HDR_TRANS TLV currently sets ToDS=1, which makes the firmware
default to the BSSID as A1 and emit STA->AP-formatted frames
regardless of which peer the WCID points to.
For TDLS-paired peers this is wrong. Data frames go on air addressed
to the AP, the AP MAC-ACKs and silently drops them per IEEE 802.11z
(an AP must not forward to a TDLS-paired peer). Management and
control frames bypass the HW encap path and still reach the peer;
only user data fails.
Add MT_WCID_FLAG_TDLS_PEER, set it in mt7915, mt7921, mt7925 and
mt7996 sta-add paths when sta->tdls is true, and override the
HDR_TRANS TLV in mt76_connac_mcu_wtbl_hdr_trans_tlv() (Connac2 -
mt7915 / mt7921 / mt7922), mt7925_mcu_sta_hdr_trans_tlv() (mt7925)
and mt7996_mcu_sta_hdr_trans_tlv() (mt7996) to set ToDS=0, FromDS=0
when the flag is set. The 3-addr non-DS form matches what 802.11z
uses for direct links; the firmware then constructs the frame with
A1=peer rather than A1=BSSID. HW encap offload remains enabled for
AP and any non-TDLS traffic.
Verified on mt7925e + Samsung S938B over a 5 GHz HE 80 MHz channel
with iperf3 -t 30 to the TDLS peer:
before fix: over the TDLS direct link, 7 TDLS Setup action
frames and 3 RTS frames reach the peer; 0 QoS
