Mark Anthony AgarroandFelix Fietkau bfb044bd24 wifi: mt76: mt7925: honour mac80211's FIF_FCSFAIL instead of hardcoding drop_err
mt7925_mcu_config_sniffer() hardcodes drop_err = 1, ignoring what
mac80211 actually requested via configure_filter(). FIF_FCSFAIL is
computed there but discarded instead of persisted.

Persist the FCSFAIL bit on the phy in mt7925_configure_filter() and
read it back in mt7925_mcu_config_sniffer() to derive drop_err, so the
firmware sniffer only passes through unfiltered/marginal frames when a
monitor listener actually requested them.

mt7925_mcu_config_sniffer() is only reached from mt7925_change_chanctx(),
which is itself only exercised on a monitor-mode chanctx, so this stays
scoped to monitor mode.

Felix Fietkau f701fad5c0 wifi: mt76: mt7925: fix infinite loop in UNI event TLV parsing
The event TLV loops accept a zero-length TLV, which advances neither the
cursor nor the remaining length, so a malformed event hangs the caller.
mt7925_mcu_uni_roc_event() additionally walked past the end of the skb,
since it never checked the declared length against the remainder.

Replace the five open-coded loops with a shared iterator that rejects
lengths below the TLV header and beyond the remaining buffer, and check
the per-tag payload sizes before dereferencing them.

While here, make the RSSI monitor event read from the current TLV rather
than from the start of the list.

bss_rlm_tlv() in mt7925_mcu_bss_rlm_tlv() has no case for
NL80211_CHAN_WIDTH_320. When associated to a 320MHz BSS, the switch

via BSS_RLM TLV. Firmware then configures the RX radio for 20MHz

path failure at 320MHz.

Add the missing NL80211_CHAN_WIDTH_320 case with CMD_CBW_320MHZ and

ElXrenoandFelix Fietkau 6ae6f2b58c wifi: mt76: route TDLS-peer frames as 3-addr non-DS in HW encap
With HW TX encap offload enabled, the mt76 firmware builds the 802.11
header for the 802.3 frame using the per-WCID context. For a STATION
vif the HDR_TRANS TLV currently sets ToDS=1, which makes the firmware
default to the BSSID as A1 and emit STA->AP-formatted frames
regardless of which peer the WCID points to.

For TDLS-paired peers this is wrong. Data frames go on air addressed
to the AP, the AP MAC-ACKs and silently drops them per IEEE 802.11z
(an AP must not forward to a TDLS-paired peer). Management and
control frames bypass the HW encap path and still reach the peer;
only user data fails.

Add MT_WCID_FLAG_TDLS_PEER, set it in mt7915, mt7921, mt7925 and
mt7996 sta-add paths when sta->tdls is true, and override the
HDR_TRANS TLV in mt76_connac_mcu_wtbl_hdr_trans_tlv() (Connac2 -
mt7915 / mt7921 / mt7922), mt7925_mcu_sta_hdr_trans_tlv() (mt7925)
and mt7996_mcu_sta_hdr_trans_tlv() (mt7996) to set ToDS=0, FromDS=0
when the flag is set. The 3-addr non-DS form matches what 802.11z
uses for direct links; the firmware then constructs the frame with
A1=peer rather than A1=BSSID. HW encap offload remains enabled for
AP and any non-TDLS traffic.

Verified on mt7925e + Samsung S938B over a 5 GHz HE 80 MHz channel
with iperf3 -t 30 to the TDLS peer:

  before fix: over the TDLS direct link, 7 TDLS Setup action
               frames and 3 RTS frames reach the peer; 0 QoS
               Data frames make it through (mgmt/control paths
               bypass HW encap, the data path does not). iperf3
               stalls.
  after fix: 2.90 GBytes transferred at 830 Mbit/s sustained,
               0 TCP retransmits.

mt7915, mt7921, mt7922 and mt7996 are not regression-tested in this
change for lack of hardware. Their HDR_TRANS handling mirrors the
verified mt7925 change; the firmware behavior is shared across these
chips.

Quan ZhouandFelix Fietkau 699a4aa3b8 wifi: mt76: mt7925: fix incorrect TLV length in CLC command
The previous implementation of __mt7925_mcu_set_clc() set the TLV length
field (.len) incorrectly during CLC command construction. The length was
initialized as sizeof(req) - 4, regardless of the actual segment length.
This could cause the WiFi firmware to misinterpret the command payload,
resulting in command execution errors.

This patch moves the TLV length assignment to after the segment is
selected, and sets .len to sizeof(req) + seg->len - 4, matching the
actual command content. This ensures the firmware receives the
correct TLV length and parses the command properly.

Zilin GuanandFelix Fietkau 7ab500f7db wifi: mt76: Fix memory leak after mt76_connac_mcu_alloc_sta_req()
mt76_connac_mcu_alloc_sta_req() allocates an skb which is expected to
be freed eventually by mt76_mcu_skb_send_msg(). However, currently if
an intermediate function fails before sending, the allocated skb is
leaked.

Specifically, mt76_connac_mcu_sta_wed_update() and
mt76_connac_mcu_sta_key_tlv() may fail, leading to an immediate memory
leak in the error path.

Fix this by explicitly freeing the skb in these error paths.
Commit 7c0f63fe37a5 ("wifi: mt76: mt7996: fix memory leak on
mt7996_mcu_sta_key_tlv error") made a similar change.

Compile tested only. Issue found using a prototype static analysis tool
and code review.

Quan ZhouandFelix Fietkau f8684c6fb5 wifi: mt76: mt792x: fix wifi init fail by setting MCU_RUNNING after CLC load
Set the MT76_STATE_MCU_RUNNING bit only after mt7921_load_clc()
has successfully completed. Previously, the MCU_RUNNING state
was set before loading CLC, which could cause conflict between
chip mcu_init retry and mac_reset flow, result in chip init fail
and chip abnormal status. By moving the state set after CLC load,
firmware initialization becomes robust and resolves init fail issue.

Felix Fietkau 33f29d2345 wifi: mt76: relicense to BSD-3-Clause-Clear
MediaTek has asked to switch from the ISC license to BSD-3-Clause-Clear,
in order to improve clarity and the legal integrity of the code.

The BSD-3-Clause license includes the "no endorsement" clause, which is
important for protecting the reputation of the original authors and
contributors by preventing unauthorized use of their names for endorsement
purposes.

This clause is absent in the BSD-2-Clause license, which is more permissive
but lacks this specific protection.

This change also cleans up the license of some Kconfig/Makefile files,
which were accidentally marked as GPL.

The GPL 2.0 remains in use on mt76x0, as well as two source files in mt7615
for which the license situation still needs to be clarified.
