Bjoern A. ZeebandFelix Fietkau 03644ac19f wifi: mt76: fix argument to ieee80211_is_first_frag()
ieee80211_is_first_frag() operates on the seq_ctrl not the frame_control
header field. Pass the correct one in; otherwise the results may vary.

Felix Fietkau a665659dee wifi: mt76: fix beacon monitor for MBSSID nontransmitted BSS
When associated with a nontransmitted BSS in an MBSSID set, the beacon
frame's BSSID (addr3) contains the transmitting AP's BSSID, not the
station's associated BSSID. The beacon matching in mt76_rx_beacon_iter()
only compared against link_conf->bssid, so beacons were never matched,
causing false beacon loss reports.

Add a fallback check against link_conf->transmitter_bssid when
link_conf->nontransmitted is set, mirroring mac80211's
ieee80211_rx_our_beacon() logic.

Felix Fietkau ab6abc9713 wifi: mt76: fix scan work requeue race with spinlock
Prevent mt76_scan_rx_beacon() in softirq from requeuing scan_work
after cancel_delayed_work_sync() returns in mt76_abort_scan(). Without
synchronization, the beacon handler can observe beacon_wait as true
and requeue scan_work between the cancel and the memset in
mt76_scan_complete(), leading to a NULL pointer dereference when
scan_work runs against zeroed scan state.

Introduce scan_lock (placed outside the scan struct to survive the
memset) to make the beacon handler's check-and-queue atomic with
respect to abort_scan's clear of beacon_wait. This eliminates the
race with a single cancel_delayed_work_sync() call.

Felix Fietkau fb6a584e71 wifi: mt76: add per-link beacon monitoring for MLO
With chanctx drivers using hardware scan or remain-on-channel,
mac80211 does not know when the radio goes off-channel, which breaks
its software beacon loss detection.

Implement per-link beacon monitoring in the driver. Track the last
beacon timestamp per link and check for beacon loss periodically from
the mac_work handler.

Beacon monitoring is initialized on association and on late link
activation, and cleared on disassociation. The beacon_mon_last
timestamp is reset when returning from offchannel and after channel
switches to prevent false beacon loss detection.

Felix Fietkau 447cc8c89c wifi: mt76: wait for firmware TX completion of mgmt frames before channel switch
After flushing software-pending frames to DMA, mt76_has_tx_pending()
only checks DMA ring q->queued. For token-based drivers, q->queued is
decremented at DMA consumption, but firmware may not have transmitted
the frame yet. Waiting for all tokens is not feasible because data
frames may be stuck in firmware powersave/aggregation queues.

Track PSD queue tokens (firmware ALTX) per phy using an atomic counter.
These frames are sent by firmware immediately without PS buffering, so
the counter reliably reaches zero after transmission.

Increment the counter in mt76_token_consume() and decrement it in
mt76_token_release(), only for PSD queue tokens. Include the counter
in mt76_has_tx_pending() so channel switch waits for firmware TX
completion of management and nullfunc frames.

mt7615 (uses mt76_token_get/put) and non-token drivers are unaffected
as they never call mt76_token_consume/release.

Felix Fietkau 757d440448 wifi: mt76: flush pending TX before channel switch
mt76_tx() queues frames on wcid->tx_pending for async processing by
tx_worker. In __mt76_set_channel(), the worker gets disabled before it
may have run, and the subsequent wait only checks DMA ring queues, not
the software pending list. This means frames like nullfunc PS frames
from mt76_offchannel_notify() may never be transmitted on the correct
channel.

Fix this by running mt76_txq_schedule_pending() synchronously after
disabling the tx_worker but before setting MT76_RESET, which would
otherwise cause mt76_txq_schedule_pending_wcid() to bail out.

Felix Fietkau b451ffe2c0 wifi: mt76: send nullfunc PS frames on offchannel transitions
Since mt76 uses chanctx, mac80211 does not send nullfunc power save
notifications when the driver goes offchannel for scan or ROC.
Add mt76_offchannel_notify() to send nullfunc PM=1 before going
offchannel and PM=0 after returning, so that the AP can buffer
frames during the absence.

For MLO, iterate all vif links on the phy and set
IEEE80211_TX_CTRL_MLO_LINK so that the driver's tx_prepare_skb
resolves the correct per-link wcid.

Zac BowlingandFelix Fietkau d67da44b59 wifi: mt76: fix list corruption in mt76_wcid_cleanup
mt76_wcid_cleanup() was not removing wcid entries from sta_poll_list
before mt76_reset_device() reinitializes the master list. This leaves
stale pointers in wcid->poll_list, causing list corruption when
mt76_wcid_add_poll() later checks list_empty() and tries to add the
entry back.

The fix adds proper cleanup of poll_list in mt76_wcid_cleanup(),
matching how tx_list is already handled. This is similar to what
mt7996_mac_sta_deinit_link() already does correctly.

Fixes list corruption warnings like:

Roopni DevanathanandFelix Fietkau 3c232526a0 wifi: cfg80211/mac80211: Add support to get radio index
Currently, per-radio attributes are set on per-phy basis, i.e., all the
radios present in a wiphy will take attributes values sent from user. But
each radio in a wiphy can get different values from userspace based on
its requirement.

To extend support to set per-radio attributes, add support to get radio
index from userspace. Add an NL attribute - NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_RADIO_INDEX,
to get user specified radio index for which attributes should be changed.
Pass this to individual drivers, so that the drivers can use this radio
index to change per-radio attributes when necessary. Currently, per-radio
attributes identified are:
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_TX_POWER_LEVEL
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_ANTENNA_TX
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_ANTENNA_RX
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_RETRY_SHORT
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_RETRY_LONG
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_FRAG_THRESHOLD
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_RTS_THRESHOLD
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_COVERAGE_CLASS
NL80211_ATTR_TXQ_LIMIT
NL80211_ATTR_TXQ_MEMORY_LIMIT
NL80211_ATTR_TXQ_QUANTUM

By default, the radio index is set to -1. This means the attribute should
be treated as a global configuration. If the user has not specified any
index, then the radio index passed to individual drivers would be -1. This
would indicate that the attribute applies to all radios in that wiphy.

Felix Fietkau 33f29d2345 wifi: mt76: relicense to BSD-3-Clause-Clear
MediaTek has asked to switch from the ISC license to BSD-3-Clause-Clear,
in order to improve clarity and the legal integrity of the code.

The BSD-3-Clause license includes the "no endorsement" clause, which is
important for protecting the reputation of the original authors and
contributors by preventing unauthorized use of their names for endorsement
purposes.

This clause is absent in the BSD-2-Clause license, which is more permissive
but lacks this specific protection.

This change also cleans up the license of some Kconfig/Makefile files,
which were accidentally marked as GPL.

The GPL 2.0 remains in use on mt76x0, as well as two source files in mt7615
for which the license situation still needs to be clarified.

Bjørn MorkandFelix Fietkau 3b47d9df42 wifi: mt76: mt7915: fix oops on non-dbdc mt7986
mt7915_band_config() sets band_idx = 1 on the main phy for mt7986
with MT7975_ONE_ADIE or MT7976_ONE_ADIE.

Commit 0335c034e726 ("wifi: mt76: fix race condition related to
checking tx queue fill status") introduced a dereference of the
phys array indirectly indexed by band_idx via wcid->phy_idx in
mt76_wcid_cleanup(). This caused the following Oops on affected
mt7986 devices:

Fix by using mt76_dev_phy() which will map band_idx to the correct phy
for all hardware combinations.
