mt76_vif_link() indexes mvif->link[] without validating link_id, but
callers pass mvif->deflink_id / msta->deflink_id, which hold
IEEE80211_LINK_UNSPECIFIED (0xf) until the first link has been added.
Since IEEE80211_MLD_MAX_NUM_LINKS is 15, that reads one element past the
end of the array, aliasing mt76_vif_data.offchannel_link.
Reachable via mt7996_set_tsf()/mt7996_offset_tsf() and
mt7996_net_fill_forward_path(). Bounds check link_id and return NULL,
matching mt7996_sta_link() and mt7996_sta_link_protected().

mt76_npu_device_active() and mt76_ppe_device_active() read dev->mmio.npu
and dev->mmio.ppe_dev. The mmio, usb and sdio bus structs share a union in
struct mt76_dev, so on USB and SDIO these read unrelated data from the
usb/sdio struct, which is non-NULL in practice.
mt76_npu_device_active() then returns true on USB, and
mt76_rx_poll_complete() takes the offload path and skips
mt76_rx_aggr_reorder(). RX A-MPDU subframes are delivered out of order and
the peer's TCP stack treats that as loss: heavy retransmissions and reduced
throughput in AP mode. Seen on mt7921u, mt7925u, mt76x2u and mt76x0u.
Gate both helpers on mt76_is_mmio() so they only run for the bus type that
owns the mmio union member.

With HW TX encap offload enabled, the mt76 firmware builds the 802.11
header for the 802.3 frame using the per-WCID context. For a STATION
vif the HDR_TRANS TLV currently sets ToDS=1, which makes the firmware
default to the BSSID as A1 and emit STA->AP-formatted frames
regardless of which peer the WCID points to.
For TDLS-paired peers this is wrong. Data frames go on air addressed
to the AP, the AP MAC-ACKs and silently drops them per IEEE 802.11z
(an AP must not forward to a TDLS-paired peer). Management and
control frames bypass the HW encap path and still reach the peer;
only user data fails.
Add MT_WCID_FLAG_TDLS_PEER, set it in mt7915, mt7921, mt7925 and
mt7996 sta-add paths when sta->tdls is true, and override the
HDR_TRANS TLV in mt76_connac_mcu_wtbl_hdr_trans_tlv() (Connac2 -
mt7915 / mt7921 / mt7922), mt7925_mcu_sta_hdr_trans_tlv() (mt7925)
and mt7996_mcu_sta_hdr_trans_tlv() (mt7996) to set ToDS=0, FromDS=0
when the flag is set. The 3-addr non-DS form matches what 802.11z
uses for direct links; the firmware then constructs the frame with
A1=peer rather than A1=BSSID. HW encap offload remains enabled for
AP and any non-TDLS traffic.
Verified on mt7925e + Samsung S938B over a 5 GHz HE 80 MHz channel
with iperf3 -t 30 to the TDLS peer:
before fix: over the TDLS direct link, 7 TDLS Setup action
frames and 3 RTS frames reach the peer; 0 QoS
Data frames make it through (mgmt/control paths
bypass HW encap, the data path does not). iperf3
stalls.
after fix: 2.90 GBytes transferred at 830 Mbit/s sustained,
0 TCP retransmits.
mt7915, mt7921, mt7922 and mt7996 are not regression-tested in this
change for lack of hardware. Their HDR_TRANS handling mirrors the
verified mt7925 change; the firmware behavior is shared across these
chips.

Add MT_DRV_HW_PS_BUFFERING flag for drivers where firmware controls
the TIM bit based on buffered frames. Instead of blocking all TX to

throttle. Replenish the firmware buffer on TX completion.

Prevent mt76_scan_rx_beacon() in softirq from requeuing scan_work
after cancel_delayed_work_sync() returns in mt76_abort_scan(). Without
synchronization, the beacon handler can observe beacon_wait as true
and requeue scan_work between the cancel and the memset in
mt76_scan_complete(), leading to a NULL pointer dereference when
scan_work runs against zeroed scan state.
Introduce scan_lock (placed outside the scan struct to survive the
memset) to make the beacon handler's check-and-queue atomic with
respect to abort_scan's clear of beacon_wait. This eliminates the
race with a single cancel_delayed_work_sync() call.

With chanctx drivers using hardware scan or remain-on-channel,
mac80211 does not know when the radio goes off-channel, which breaks
its software beacon loss detection.
Implement per-link beacon monitoring in the driver. Track the last
beacon timestamp per link and check for beacon loss periodically from
the mac_work handler.
Beacon monitoring is initialized on association and on late link
activation, and cleared on disassociation. The beacon_mon_last
timestamp is reset when returning from offchannel and after channel
switches to prevent false beacon loss detection.

After flushing software-pending frames to DMA, mt76_has_tx_pending()
only checks DMA ring q->queued. For token-based drivers, q->queued is
decremented at DMA consumption, but firmware may not have transmitted
the frame yet. Waiting for all tokens is not feasible because data
frames may be stuck in firmware powersave/aggregation queues.
Track PSD queue tokens (firmware ALTX) per phy using an atomic counter.
These frames are sent by firmware immediately without PS buffering, so
the counter reliably reaches zero after transmission.
Increment the counter in mt76_token_consume() and decrement it in
mt76_token_release(), only for PSD queue tokens. Include the counter
in mt76_has_tx_pending() so channel switch waits for firmware TX
completion of management and nullfunc frames.
mt7615 (uses mt76_token_get/put) and non-token drivers are unaffected
as they never call mt76_token_consume/release.

mt76_tx() queues frames on wcid->tx_pending for async processing by
tx_worker. In __mt76_set_channel(), the worker gets disabled before it
may have run, and the subsequent wait only checks DMA ring queues, not
the software pending list. This means frames like nullfunc PS frames
from mt76_offchannel_notify() may never be transmitted on the correct
channel.
Fix this by running mt76_txq_schedule_pending() synchronously after
disabling the tx_worker but before setting MT76_RESET, which would
otherwise cause mt76_txq_schedule_pending_wcid() to bail out.

Since mt76 uses chanctx, mac80211 does not send nullfunc power save
notifications when the driver goes offchannel for scan or ROC.
Add mt76_offchannel_notify() to send nullfunc PM=1 before going
offchannel and PM=0 after returning, so that the AP can buffer
frames during the absence.
For MLO, iterate all vif links on the phy and set
IEEE80211_TX_CTRL_MLO_LINK so that the driver's tx_prepare_skb
resolves the correct per-link wcid.

mt76_remain_on_channel() always creates an HT20 chandef and goes
offchannel, even when the ROC channel matches the operating channel.
This unnecessarily narrows bandwidth and triggers beacon stop/restart.
When the ROC channel matches the current operating channel, preserve
the full chandef and skip the offchannel transition, matching the
optimization already present in the scan code.
Extract the shared same-channel detection into mt76_offchannel_chandef()
and use it in both ROC and scan paths.

Currently, per-radio attributes are set on per-phy basis, i.e., all the
radios present in a wiphy will take attributes values sent from user. But
each radio in a wiphy can get different values from userspace based on
its requirement.
To extend support to set per-radio attributes, add support to get radio
index from userspace. Add an NL attribute - NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_RADIO_INDEX,
to get user specified radio index for which attributes should be changed.
Pass this to individual drivers, so that the drivers can use this radio
index to change per-radio attributes when necessary. Currently, per-radio
attributes identified are:
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_TX_POWER_LEVEL
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_ANTENNA_TX
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_ANTENNA_RX
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_RETRY_SHORT
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_RETRY_LONG
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_FRAG_THRESHOLD
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_RTS_THRESHOLD
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_COVERAGE_CLASS
NL80211_ATTR_TXQ_LIMIT
NL80211_ATTR_TXQ_MEMORY_LIMIT
NL80211_ATTR_TXQ_QUANTUM
By default, the radio index is set to -1. This means the attribute should
be treated as a global configuration. If the user has not specified any
index, then the radio index passed to individual drivers would be -1. This
would indicate that the attribute applies to all radios in that wiphy.

The current WED only supports 256 wcid, whereas mt7986 can support up to
512 entries, so firmware provides a rule to get sta_info by DA when wcid
is set to 0x3ff by txd. Also, WED provides a register to overwrite txd
wcid, that is, wcid[9:8] can be overwritten by 0x3 and wcid[7:0] is set
to 0xff by host driver.
However, firmware is unable to get sta_info from DA as DA != RA for
4addr cases, so firmware and wifi host driver both use wcid (256 - 271)
and (768 ~ 783) for sync up to get correct sta_info.
